Untersuchung einer mehrstufigen Umformung beim flexiblen Rollsicken

Investigation of multi-stage forming in flexible roller beading

Masterthesis, Bachelorthesis

Growing ecological awareness combined with ever shorter product life cycles and increasing product diversity promote the use of customised and application-specific components. At the PtU, a new, globally unique process for the flexible production of profiles with variable height cross-sections has been developed in the form of flexible roller beading. Such profiles are used to save weight and installation space through load-adapted stiffness distribution, for example in car side impact beams. As part of this work, the process control of flexible roll beading is to be optimised using numerical methods. The focus is on extending the process limits by using several forming stages. A simulation model is available for the numerical modelling of the process, in which the successive forming stages are mapped by the movements of the forming tools.

I am happy to answer any questions regarding the task. The exact content can be discussed in a personal meeting and adapted if necessary.
