Objective Objective of the course „FEM-Simulation in Forming Technology“ is transferring the basic knowledge about the finite element method as well as the familiarization with the FE software package Simufact Forming.

Course participation procedure
  • Please contact the course tutor via the email above and express your interest in the FEM tutorial.
  • Please do not register for the course in TUCaN yet!
  • You will be added to the waiting list of participants and will receive a reply with your place number on the list.
  • About 3–6 weeks before the next tutorial, you will be contacted to ask whether you would like to take part in the tutorial. Students who are at the top of the waiting list will be contacted first.
  • You will receive information about the further procedure by e-mail as soon as you are offered a place. You will be informed in good time when you should register for the exam in TUCaN.
Procedure After executing 10 exercises for learning the handling of the software, judgement and evaluation of calculations, an individual task follows.. This task will be processed by the course members autonomously in team work. The course ends with a presentation about the selected approach and chosen results as well as their rating.

  • At the beginning of the summer and winter semester. By arrangement, several times each semester is also possible

  • The tutorial takes place full-time and takes 10 working days
