Bachelor

The students receive their first impression of the extensive field of production engineering in the basic course Technology of Manufacturing Processes. The understanding of production processes is expanded on the basis of practice-oriented manufacturing examples, demonstrators, and case studies, which additionally provide the opportunity to solve industrial tasks.

The lecture Laser in Manufacturing introduces students to the basics and fields of applications of lasers used for industrial material processing.

Mandatory lecture (Bachelor)

In addition to basic production techniques such as factory planning or elementary materials science, students are taught the various production processes and procedures. The focus is on a practical introduction to the topic.

  • Boundary conditions and goals of production engineering
  • Fundamentals and methods of primary forming, shaping and cutting
  • Examples from production
