The characterization of surfaces to determine roughness plays an essential role in forming technology. For this purpose, the Institute for Production Engineering and Forming Machines has tactile and optical equipment for surface measurement. The institute is looking for a student assistant to support the responsible research assistant in maintaining the testing machine and to carry out various testing tasks independently. The primary tasks are:

• Performing and evaluating surface measurements
• Instructing and supporting research assistants and students with regard to the measurements
• Maintaining and servicing the equipment

As part of this role, you will gain insights into the various areas of activities and projects at the institute and contribute to current research.
