Materialcharakterisierung von Aluminiumfolien für Mikroumformprozesse
Material characterization of Aluminum Foils for Micro forming Processes
Masterthesis, Bachelorthesis, Advanced Design Project (ADP)
Micro forming is a metal forming process on a microscopic scale, used to manufacture components with dimensions in the millimeter or even micrometer range. Unlike conventional forming, which involves larger parts, micro forming presents specific challenges such as the influence of grain size, increased friction effects, and the need for extremely precise tolerances.
As part of this work, it is necessary to characterize thin aluminum foils to predict their behavior and conduct a process simulation using the finite element method. This includes the following investigations.
- Material characterization of aluminum foil under uniaxial loading
- Material characterization of aluminum foil under biaxial loading
- Determination of the forming limit curve of aluminum foil
- Investigation of the damage behavior of aluminum foil
