Climate chamber KMF115 from Binder

In forming processes of natural fibre-based materials such as paper, the moisture of the material is a decisive parameter. Material conditioning is therefore essential for reproducible test conditions.

For this purpose, a climate chamber was procured as part of the DFG project “TransForm”, which was launched in August. One focus of the project is on image-based in-line wrinkle detection in the deep-drawing process of paper using a partially transparent tool. The constant climate chamber KMF115 from Binder is characterised by an extended humidity range, so that in addition to storage in a standard climate (20°C and 50 % r.h.), high humidity levels of up to 98 % r.h. can also be achieved.

We would like to thank the DFG for funding the project and financing the climate chamber.
