“Operator assistance system for the pressing plant” Matthäus Kott's successful disputation at PtU
On 11.05.2022, the disputation of our former research assistant Matthäus Kott took place in hybrid form for the first time. The topic of his dissertation is “Methodology for the development of an operator assistance system for the pressing plant”.
Mr Kott dealt with the development of an operator assistance system as part of an external dissertation at Opel Automobile GmbH. For this purpose, optimal process parameters for a car body drawing process were determined on the basis of machine learning approaches. These enable the machine operator to guide the process within the defined tolerances and to ensure consistent part quality.
A process model also enables adaptation and application to other car body drawing and deep drawing processes.
