EFB working group meeting – Two PtU research proposals approved

2020/02/10

From 28 to 30 January 2020, around 30 members of the European Research Association for Sheet Metal Working (EFB) were guests at the PtU. In the three working groups Comprehensive Optimization, Technology (Thin Sheets) and Machines and Tools, current research results from numerous university institutes and other research facilities were presented.

The meeting of industry representatives and researchers was the basis for a lively exchange of experience. The PtU convinced the jurors with the presentation of the two research proposals “Tribological optimization of cutting punches by microstructuring using mechanical surface hammering” and “Secured second-order learning of maximum productivity”, both of which were approved.

The supporting programme of the event was rounded off by a variety of experimental field visits.
