Visit from Finland

Within the Erasmus+ Mobility Agreement, Dr. Ville Leminen of the Lappeenranta University of Technology (Finland) visited the PtU on the 7 th and 8 th of November.

The research focus of Dr. Leminen is on paperboard forming, which leads to several links to research topics at the PtU. After getting to know each other on the first day, a general presentation of the PtU was followed by an institute tour. Then, Dr. Leminen discussed concluded and ongoing research projects with PtU staff including future trends in paperboard forming. On the second day further institutes of the TU Darmstadt, with which the PtU cooperates within the project “Building with Paperboard”, were visited.

In the future, the established contact will be used to determine opportunities for cooperation projects as well as to intensify the exchange between both universities.
