Student internship at the PtU

During a three-week internship at the PtU three pupils from the Goethe-Gymnasium Frankfurt got an insight into the scientific activities at a research institute at a university.
Their tasks included the specimen production, the preparation and execution of the experiments and the subsequent evaluation of the measured data. Within the experiments, the pupils got the possibility to perform shear cutting and extrusion tests of dissimilar materials on the institute´s 250 tons press. In addition, they were introduced to the subjects analyzing of experimental data and structuring of scientific presentations.
We wish them all the best for their upcoming Abitur next year.
