The development, analysis and improvement of forming processes and the investigation of their interdependence with other stations within complex value chains is one of the core competences of PtU.
The feasibility analysis for the fabrication of new products by forming processes as well as novel machine concepts includes the theoretical consideration by means of proven development techniques. Furthermore, up-to-date FEM software and the necessary know-how can be used to develop simulative solutions. For experimental verification, extensive test facilities as well as state-of-the-art measuring technology are also available.
This extensive toolbox is also used for the optimization of existing processes. For this purpose, we examine not only technical but also ecological and economic aspects. This comprehensive approach enables us to identify interconnected influences in process chains and uncover potential for process improvement.
