Untersuchung der Umformbarkeit von Polygonkonturen mit Hilfe des Lochwalzen auf einer Servopresse mit drei Freiheitsgraden im Stößel

Investigation of the formability of polygon contours with the punch rolling process on a servo press with three degrees of freedom in the ram

Masterthesis, Research Assistant, Bachelorthesis

For many decades, polygonal contours have been an established way of producing positive shaft-hub connections with high space utilization. They are characterized by self-centring and the ability to transmit torque on one side and alternating torques without notch effects. However, polygonal contours have so far been produced exclusively by machining processes. The aim of this thesis is to investigate how different (hypotrochoidal) polygonal contours can be produced using the forming process developed at the PtU of hole rolling on a servo press with three degrees of freedom in the ram. The work comprises a numerical simulation of different geometries to estimate the process limits and a subsequent experimental realization on the 3DSP, whereby different processing strategies of the rolling movement are also to be investigated. A tool with integrated force sensors has already been constructed and put into operation for the flexible production of different geometries. As part of the work, the tool is to be equipped with additional sensors as close as possible to the forming zone.
