Participation in the WGP Annual Congress 2025
2025/10/15
This year's WGP Annual Congress was held under the theme ‘New Impulses for Production – Intelligent, Efficient, Digital’ and took place at the Production Technology Centre Hannover (PZH). In keeping with the theme, the conference featured a variety of innovative contributions on the latest developments in the digitalisation of production technology.
Ciarán Veitenheimer and Tim Schmitt participated on behalf of the PtU. With his presentation ‘Data-Driven Closed-Loop Control of Product Properties in a Progressive Die’, Ciarán Veitenheimer presented an approach to data-based control of component properties in progressive die processes.
Tim Schmitt presented the topic ‘Autonomously Switching Paraffin-Based Thermal Bridge for Passive Thermal Regulation’ and showed how efficiency and sustainability in production can be increased through passive systems.
Exciting excursions to MeKo and Salzgitter Stahl rounded off the programme and provided practical insights into current industrial applications.
A big thank you goes to the PZH team for the excellent organisation and the open, collegial atmosphere of the congress!
