On 25 September, our research associate Leo Roß and our visiting scientist Ali Beigzadeh contributed to the AI.productive 2025 event.

Organised by the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Darmstadt, the user day brought together over 200 interested parties from science and industry at the Darmstadtium. The focus was on the use of AI in industrial manufacturing. Experts from the MDZ presented practical applications, discussed the necessary framework conditions and showed how companies can use AI to optimise their production processes.

In his presentation ‘AI-supported quality prediction in roll forming,’ Mr. Roß provided insights into current work on data-based process monitoring and quality prediction. At the PtU exhibition stand, Ali Beigzadeh and Leo Roß illustrated the importance of in-line measurements for monitoring forming processes using a demonstrator press.

Following the main programme, participants visited the PtU's Smart Forming Centre on the Lichtwiese campus. There, our research assistants Benedikt Depta and Jonas Moske presented innovations in forming technology and intelligent manufacturing.
