Our colleague, Stefan Kraus, took part in the International Conference on High Speed Forming (ICHSF), organised by the IUL at TU Dortmund, which took place in Dortmund from 26 to 27 August 2025.

During the conference, he presented a contribution entitled Determination of Weld Interface Properties and their Effect on the Strength of Multi-Material Aluminium-Steel Joints. Together with his two project partners from the Design2Collide research project, Christian Pabst from PSTproducts and Markus Graß from tff at the University of Kassel, he also presented the contribution Investigation of Electromagnetic Pulse Welding for the Automated Production of Resource-Efficient Multi-Material Joints. The event brought together experts from the USA, India, South Korea, France, Germany and China, providing a valuable platform for scientific exchange on our research focus of collision welding.

We would like to thank the IUL for organising the event and look forward to further international cooperation. The next ICHSF will take place in Mumbai, India, in 2027.
