The PtU as a guest
at the 43rd EFB-Symposium in Würzburg
2025/06/06
At this year's EFB-Symposium, Jonas Moske (PtU) and Hasan Kutlu (Fraunhofer IGD Darmstadt) were awarded the Excellence Prize of the European Research Association for Sheet Metal Working (EFB). The award-winning research project is entitled: “Development of a method for detecting wear conditions in multi-stage sheet metal forming processes using in-situ recorded process variables”.
We would like to congratulate Mr. Moske and Mr. Kutlu on this outstanding achievement and wish them continued success and all the best for their future scientific careers.
The two-day EFB-Symposium featured not only the award ceremony, but also presentations on current PtU research projects. Viktor Arne presented the results of his research on model-based condition monitoring of servo presses using an Augmented Extended Kalman-Filter and demonstrated the implementation of the inline-capable state estimator on the programmable logic controller of the 3D servo press. His presentation was a valuable contribution to the potential and challenges of model-based condition monitoring in industrial sheet metal processing. Alongside many exciting presentations, the symposium also offered opportunities for professional exchange and discussion between researchers and industry partners.
The Institute for Production Engineering and Forming Machines would like to thank the entire EFB team for the invitation and for organizing such an excellent event.
