PtU without borders
2025/04/01
Our research associate Philipp Schumann was invited to this year's unite! dialogue in Barcelona from 24.–28.02.2025.
Mister Schumann had the opportunity to present his PhD project on the topic of ‘Resource efficiency through surface texturing’ within 3 minutes as part of a PhD contest. He managed to vividly convey the topic to a wide-ranging audience and was thus able to inspire even people from other disciplines for forming technology and tribology.
We say: Keep it up!
Research, teaching and learning without borders are central elements at the PtU. For this reason, it is only natural that we are actively involved in the unite! alliance. As part of this alliance, TU Darmstadt, together with 9 other European universities, is strengthening international exchange across all levels of the academic structure. From joint teaching programmes to scientific research projects. Through our unite! seedfund entitled ‘unite!-Learning Network-Breaking barriers for international teaching alliances’, we want to enable student groups to strengthen their project management skills in an agile and international context through a collaborative and intercultural student teaching project in cooperation with ULisboa and UPC Barcelona. The project will start in winter semester 2025/26. In sunny Barcelona, this and many other project ideas and visions of European university cooperation were discussed and put down on paper.
We are looking forward to the exciting future!
