Welcome, Raja Mazumder!
2025/02/06

Since November 1st, 2024, Raja Mazumder has joined the team at the Institute for Production Engineering and Forming Machines (PtU) as a research associate. In this capacity, he is leading the project “Analysis and Improvement of Formability in Roll Forming of High-Strength Steels.”
This research project investigates the process limits in roll forming of high-strength steels. The objective is to develop a method that enables the reliable prediction and practical modeling of process-induced damage, as well as strategies to improve the formability of these materials.
Mr. Mazumder studied Mechatronics at TU Darmstadt, earning both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees. He completed his thesis work at the Institute for Internal Combustion Engines and Powertrain Systems (VKM) and the Institute for Fluid Systems (FST). In his Bachelor's thesis at VKM, he focused on the integration and experimental testing of an electrically driven compression and exhaust gas recirculation system within the intake system of internal combustion engines. As part of his Master's thesis at FST, he conducted numerical and experimental investigations on gas storage systems with adsorbents, which are used, among other applications, in suspension systems.
We warmly welcome Mr. Mazumder and look forward to a successful cooperation!
