Successful disputation by Nassr Al-Baradoni!
2024/11/11
On 15 October 2024, the successful disputation of our former research assistant Nassr Al-Baradoni took place. His dissertation is entitled ‘Image-based and structure-integrated sensor technology for multiaxial detection of structural deformations’.
In his dissertation, Mr. Al-Baradoni developed an image-based and structure-integrated sensor for the multiaxial detection of structural deformations. The aim of the work is to overcome previous limitations of sensory machine elements. This is achieved by digitizing additional machine elements, such as guide pillars. The associated precise recording of stresses increases the data quality.
In addition to sensor configurability, sensor validation played a decisive role. The validation was carried out by comparison with reference sensors. In a final step, Mr Al-Baradoni is developing solution concepts for integrating the image-based sensors into components using forming processes. Particular attention was paid to rotary swaging, which enables backlash-free, damage-free and positionally accurate integration into rotationally symmetrical components.
The PtU would like to thank Mr Al-Baradoni for his many years of commitment and wishes him all the best and every success for his professional and private future.
