“Innovation Meets Finance” brought together innovative research projects and investors at Biebrich Castle to showcase the latest developments in digitalisation. Organized by the Hessian Ministry of Digital Strategy and Development, the event provided a platform for exchange between research institutions and business partners, with the goal of bringing digital innovations into practice and strengthening the Hessian economy.

The Institute for Production Technology and Forming Machines (PtU) would like to thank Distr@l and the State of Hesse for the invitation to the “Innovation Meets Finance” event at Biebricher Schloss, organized by the Hessian Ministry of Digital Strategy and Development. Special thanks to Hessian Minister of Digitalisation Prof. Dr. Kristina Sinemus for the opportunity to present our project at the event.

The project MoDiPro (Modular Digitalisation for Profile Bending), which is funded by Distr@l, aims to modernize existing profile bending machines by integrating the latest technologies. At the heart of the project is the digitalisation and an AI-supported operator assistance system, which is particularly beneficial for small and medium-sized enterprises, as it lowers the barrier to entry into the complex bending process.

Special thanks go to the project partners: Herkules Wetzlar GmbH with Dr Thomas Kessler and AKC Angersbach + Kaiser Computer GmbH, who played a key role in the development.

With this modular digitalisation strategy, we aim to provide a sustainable and future-proof solution in the field of profile bending.
