The PtU has been awarded the Distr@l quality seal for the ‘Modular digitalisation for profile bending – Mo|Di|Pro’ project. Distr@l stands for: Strengthening digitalisation – living transfer. Together with the two companies Herkules Biegetechnik GmbH and AKC Angersbach & Kaiser Computer GmbH, we are delighted to be able to make a valuable contribution to the digitalisation of profile bending. Thanks to the excellent cooperation within the project, the transfer of university research on the digitalisation of the three-roll profile bending process to the companies and ultimately into the hands of the machine operators and customers of the companies is successful. Research into the real process using a new type of process data acquisition and multi-stage numerical simulations, which are utilised for production through transfer learning approaches, are the success factors of the developed solution.
