The 10^th International Conference of Tribology in Manufacturing Processes & Advanced Surface Engineering (ICTMP) took place in sunny Alcoy from June 26 to 28. The PtU was represented on site by Prof. Groche and two research assistants with presentations from the field of sheet metal and bulk metal forming. Christoph Kuhn presented a paper on thermochromic indicators for in-situ process monitoring during cold forward extrusion. Philipp Schumann presented current results on the texturing of blanking punches using machine hammer peening with the aim of increasing tool life. The publications were awarded 2^nd and 3^rd place in the Best Paper Award. Our congratulations!

The conference was a great opportunity to exchange ideas with many scientists from all over the world on current topics of tribology in production technology in a fantastic atmosphere. Many innovative ideas were discussed and the basis for new collaborations was created.
