PtU erhält neuen Hochleistungs-Stanzautomat

2024/06/17

The Institute of Production Engineering and Forming Machines has recently acquired a new automatic high-performance stamping machine type BSTA 410-110 from BRUDERER. This high-speed press achieves a stroke rate of up to 1170 strokes/min with a nominal force of 410 kN and is equipped with a servo feed unit type BSV 300. With a stroke height adjustment in the range 16 to 64 mm and an additional interface package, the system is suitable for a wide range of applications in PtU research.

Various current research projects at the PtU will benefit directly from the new press. Topics relating to productivity maximisation, optimisation of the active surface design, process monitoring and control as well as the detection of wear conditions are being addressed. The new high-speed press will significantly expand the research capacities at the Smart Forming Centre and accelerate the development of new production technologies.

The machine was funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) – project number 517958713 and the Appliance fund of TU Darmstadt.
