We are pleased to report that our workshop on the innovative process chain of stringer sheet forming on April 19 was a great success! Participants from various industries took part in lively discussions and developed many new ideas together.

During the workshop, we were able to impressively demonstrate how savings of 35% and more in component weight can be achieved by applying stringer sheet forming. Through the targeted selection of material, geometry and process parameters, component properties such as stiffness, energy absorption and vibration behavior can be customized. This enables a significant reduction in sheet thickness and therefore the mass of the components.

We are delighted with the lively discussions and the many new ideas that emerged from the workshop – for example, potential was identified in rail transportation, crash management systems, heat pump enclosures and solar technology.
