“Weight reduction through customized component properties – cross-industry fields of application for stringer sheets”

Process Chain Stringer Sheet Forming

Savings of 20% or more in component weight are possible by using the innovative stringer sheet forming process chain. A conventional, flat metal sheet is first equipped with a vertical stringer by means of laser welding, before both are formed in a deep drawing process.

Similar to tailor-welded blanks or press hardening, the component properties can be adjusted across a wide range by intelligently selecting the material, geometry and process parameters. For example, the stiffness, energy absorption under dynamic load or the vibration behavior of the components can be influenced systematically. This targeted adjustment makes it possible to significantly reduce the sheet thickness of the component and thus its mass!

We would like to introduce you to this exciting technology and work with you to identify how customized stringer sheets can also be used in your industry! We therefore cordially invite you to take part in the workshop “Tailored stringer sheet products – cross-industry fields of application” on April 19, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – of course without any further obligations or costs. Mr. Simon Biffar will be happy to answer any questions upfront, we kindly ask you to register by April 8, 2024.
