At the 13th Congress of the Scientific Society for Production Engineering (WGP) from November 20 to 23, 2023 in Freudenstadt, our research assistants Cédric Brunk, Franziska Aign and Stefan Kraus had the opportunity to present their latest research results in the field of environmentally neutral production to an expert audience.

Mr. Brunk presented the influence of various process parameters on the geometric product quality of paper packaging produced by active media-based forming. Ms. Aign presented a new rolling process for the production of variable-thickness T-profiles for stringers in aircraft. Mr. Kraus presented the possibilities of producing ultra-fine-grained Ti-6Al-4V ELI for medical implants using the Equal Channel Angular Swaging process.

During the conference, they gained exciting insights into the companies fischer group, Schmalz and Trumpf. Many thanks to the IFF of the University of Stuttgart for organizing this extraordinary event and to all participants from science and industry for their valuable feedback.
