Welcome, Johannes Bruder!

Since 2023/05/15 Johannes Bruder strengthens our team as a research associate at PtU. Mr. Johannes Bruder is part of the project Design2Collide , which investigates the joining of high-strength aluminum and steel materials using collision welding. The aim of the project is to produce hybrid lightweight structures made of high-strength materials by electromagnetic pulse welding.

Mr. Bruder's master's thesis at PtU is titled “Sensorless wear detection of forming tools by thermoelectric measurements”. With the help of current research on thermoelectric measurements, it is possible to perform inline wear detection in a variety of processes. As part of his master's thesis, he characterized the influence of lubricants and the electrical insulation material on inline thermoelectric wear detection.
