Visiting Thyssen Krupp Steel

On 03.02.2023 Prof. Groche and a team of 3 employees visited thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG in Duisburg. On site the PtU got interesting impressions in research facilities like the tribo lab as well as a variety of new innovative products.

Together, many new ideas were discussed and developed:

Through a final thesis at PtU in cooperation with thyssenkrupp SE, the tribological influence of microtexturing on sheet metal surfaces will now be examined and experimentally validated using a CFD simulation. In the context of the thesis there is the possibility of an internship with exciting insights into the industry at ThyssenKrupp SE in Duisburg or Dortmund.
