PtU offers the lecture “process chains in automotive industry” in cooperation with Daimler AG. The lecture given by Dr.-Ing. Steindorf offers deep insights into the processes in automotive industry.

The lecture scheduled this winter term deals with the organization and handling of product design processes. In addition to the lecture, Daimler offers an excursion for illustrating the content of the lecture. The plant in Wörth was visited this term. In this plant the commercial vehicle production of classes Atego, Axor, Arocs, Antos and Actros being manufactured in one assembly line was visited. After the guided tour through the plant the students were invited for lunch.

In the afternoon the second destination of the excursion, the test facility for commercial vehicles, was visited. In a bus tour across the test facilities the students experienced the drive through a steep turn and the loads man and material are exposed to during bad road tests.

We want to thank Daimler AG and especially Mr. Dr.-Ing. Steindorf and his team for the hospitality and efforts.
