International Cold Forging Group awarded Dr.-Ing. Benjamin Heß with the International Prize 2016

2016/10/19

From 4 th to 7 th September, the annual meeting of the International Cold Forging Group (ICFG) took place in Stuttgart. This event offers with numerous workshops, industry-related and scientific presentations a platform for the exchange of innovations in cold forging.

We are particularly pleased that our former colleague, Dr.-Ing. Benjamin Heß, was awarded for his publication “Approaches to improve Productivity and Precision in Forming Gears with superimposed Oscillations” with the ICFG International Prize 2016. To this end, we would like to congratulate Dr.-Ing. Hess. A basis for his excellent work was created in the AiF project “Process optimization by oscillating tool movements in cold forging”. Thus the award is a confirmation to the fruitful exchange between industry and science. The project was funded within the scope of the precompetitive industrial research program (IGF) by AiF with funds from the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). Dr.-Ing. Hess is now working in a leading company in forging. For his future we wish Dr.-Ing. Hess continued success and all the best.
