Invitation to the EuroBLECH 2016 in Hanover

2016/08/12

At this year's EuroBLECH in Hanover, the Institute for Production Engineering and Forming Machines as well as the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 666 will be presented with a stand. Thus, interested listeners of the PtU master lectures are given the opportunity to participate in a free excursion to the exhibition on the 26th of October.

At stand B07 in hall 11, new multifunctional sheet metal parts such as collar-connected sandwich structures, sheets with printed sensors or RFID transponders joined by forming are shown. The technology of linear flow splitting extends the conventional fabrication methods and opens up completely new design possibilities for cold-formed profiles. Flexible stiffening stringers, curved profiles and high profile stiffness are just some features of this innovative manufacturing process, which has been successfully developed within the CRC 666. Through an interdisciplinary holistic approach, new methods, processes and equipment for the development, production, evaluation and application of integrally branched sheet metal structures are developed. For this purpose, scientists at the TU Darmstadt from different disciplines have come together to the CRC 666 and will present their work at this year's EuroBLECH.

The 24th international sheet metal working technology exhibition, held in Hanover from 25th to 29th of October 2016, with about 1,600 exhibitors from 40 countries, is the largest industry exhibition for the sheet metal working industry. Innovations from the entire process chain of sheet metal processing are presented. The theme of this year’s exhibition is “The New Generation of Sheet Metal Working”, which addresses the transformation of industrial production by the widely debated topic Industry 4.0.
