Experimental investigation of close-coupled atomization using quantitative optical measurement methods

Within the scope of this work, the existing laboratory test rig is first to be extended by an optical measurement setup (high-speed cameras, lasers, etc.) suitable for visualizing the atomization. This will then be used in a first series of experiments to identify atomization mechanisms depending on the operating parameters and to quantitatively investigate the atomization result with regard to particle size and velocity.
