Priority Program 1640 – Workshop with Industrial Companies

Its aim is to identify relevant issues concerning the industrial application of the processes, which are investigated in the priority program. In addition to the participants of the priority program, representatives from industrial companies are invited as well. The results are planned to add to the work packages of the third and last period of the priority program, which will start in 2016.
On January the 28th 2015 the excursion to Kamax Automotive GmbH at Homberg (Ohm) took place for the winners of the case study »troubleshooting« in context to the lecture Technology of manufacturing processes.
The Kamax Automotive GmbH sees itself as the technology leader in high-strength fasteners for the automotive industry. This year, for the second time running, Kamax presented the task for the case study »Troubleshooting in the screw manufacturing«. go
On February 24th, within the scope of the lecture »Lasers in Manufacturing«, students were invited to take part in an excursion to Held Systems GmbH, a manufacturer of special purpose machines with a focus on laser technology. go
