Operating Principle

The flexible and optical measuring instrument is based on the principle of triangulation. Two cameras record projected fringe patterns, the system calculates high-precision 3D coordinates for each camera pixel and a polygon mesh of the object surface is generated.


The 3D-digitizer allows a global comparison of geometry to easily determine minimum and maximum shape deviations. Furthermore the reproducibility of demanded dimensional tolerances can be quantified.
