The lecture scheduled this winter term deals with the organization and handling of product design processes. In addition to the lecture, Daimler offers an excursion for illustrating the content of the lecture. The plant in Mannheim was visited this term. In this plant the production of engine parts, assembly of engines and the final assembly of buses were visited. After the guided tour through the plant the students were invited for lunch.

In the afternoon the second destination of the excursion, the test facility, was visited. A test run demonstrated the approach in vehicle testing to the students.

The PtU thanks Daimler AG and especially Mr. Dr.-Ing. Steindorf and his team for the hospitality and efforts.
