This system is a specialized deep-drawing press designed for real-time monitoring and targeted control of the paper forming process. The punch movement is controlled by a servo-motorized linear drive, while the holding force is pneumatically regulated independently of this. This enables the implementation of flexible, stroke- or speed-controlled forming processes. Integrated sensors allow for the measurement of process forces.

For visual analysis of creasing in the flange area, the system can be equipped with transparent dies, e.g., made of acrylic glass. An industrial camera is mounted above the system, which can be used for analysis or for advanced control concepts.
